Job SummaryWe are seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team at Lawtons. As a regulated professional licensed with the provincial college of pharmacy, you will be an essential part of our team committed to providing exceptional patient care and exceeding patients' expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, process, and compound prescriptions, including receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from practitioners
- Ensure prescriptions are complete and authentic, and provide injections/vaccinations as applicable by regulations in certain jurisdictions
- Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies, and ensure the accuracy of prepared prescriptions
- Conduct the final check of prepared prescriptions and confirm the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records
- Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
