Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating costs, overseeing sales and orders, and promoting sales to existing clients. They will also be responsible for identifying and soliciting potential clients, assessing client needs, and developing reports and proposals to illustrate the benefits of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate costs of installing equipment
  • Oversee the preparation of sales and orders
  • Promote sales to existing clients
  • Identify and solicit potential clients
  • Assess client needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services
  • Develop reports and proposals to illustrate benefits from use of good or service
  • Deliver sales presentations
  • Represent companies that export and import products or services to and from foreign countries
  • Prepare and administer sales contracts
  • Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates
  • Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit client's needs
  • Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support
  • Review and adapt information regarding product innovations, competitors and market conditions
  • Train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment
  • Provide clients with presentations on the benefits and uses of goods or services
  • Resolve product and service related problems
  • Troubleshoot problems related to equipment
  • Advertise and/or promote products, sales or services
  • Provide customer service
  • Supervise activities of other technical sales specialists
Requirements
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel
