Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Lead the management of municipal infrastructure projects from inception through to completion, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and to the specified quality.
- Community Engagement: Coordinate public and stakeholder consultations, ensuring community input is valued and integrated into project planning.
- Team Leadership: Oversee consultants and contractors, providing technical guidance and ensuring projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance: Secure necessary approvals from municipal, provincial, and federal authorities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and review during the construction and final acceptance phases of subdivision developments.
- External Representation: Represent the City on external technical committees, ensuring our interests are well-represented.
- Financial Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and efficiency.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Support other City departments with technical expertise and advice.
- Education: A degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Experience: At least five years of experience as a Professional Engineer in project and program management, ideally within a municipal environment.
- Professional Membership: Eligibility for Professional Membership with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
- Driver's License: A valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license with a clean driving record.
