MPE's Medicine Hat region offers a comprehensive range of municipal engineering services. Our scope of work typically includes:

  • Water treatment and distribution.
  • Wastewater treatment and collection.
  • Stormwater management.
  • Transportation.
  • Infrastructure rehabilitation.
  • Involvement in all project phases, from conceptualization to construction completion.

Responsibilities

This is an intermediate to senior position requiring collaboration with a team on all aspects of projects from preliminary engineering to construction completion. Key responsibilities include:

  • Detailed design.
  • Cost estimating.
  • Client communication.
  • Collaboration with other design staff.
  • Contract administration during construction.
  • Supervision of field staff during construction.
  • Field work as required.
  • Preparation of technical reports and proposals.
  • Overall project management.
  • Other duties as required.

Our Medicine Hat office provides an ideal environment for the successful candidate to play a key role on projects, interfacing directly with clients and contractors.


Requirements

  • Professional Engineer designation in Alberta (APEGA) or Professional Technologist designation through ASET.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in Civil Engineering and 1 year of additional experience in Project Management.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Must be responsive and self-driven.
