Operations Director

Wabtec Foundry Seeks Experienced Operations Leader

We are currently looking for a seasoned Operations Manager to oversee all plant operations at our Wallaceburg facility. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving production planning, site safety, quality control, and employee management.

• Develop production forecasts and recommend manpower adjustments to meet sales targets
• Maintain inventory of raw materials for production requirements, ensuring optimal supply chain management
• Collaborate with Department Supervisors to achieve production goals and sales targets, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability
• Lead productivity and quality improvement projects, leveraging data-driven insights to drive business growth
• Ensure a safe and positive work environment, promoting a culture of safety and well-being
• Coordinate employee training and development, investing in the growth and success of our team members

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 8-10 years' leadership experience in manufacturing/production environments
• Management experience in a foundry environment is highly desirable
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing business needs
• Effective communication with stakeholders and team members, with a focus on building strong relationships
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software, with a willingness to leverage technology to drive business results
