About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Housing Support Worker to join our team at Good Shepherd Centres. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who have experienced homelessness, trauma, and substance use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respectful and trauma-informed care to tenants in a supportive housing setting
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote recovery and stability
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Participate in Good Shepherd's Health and Safety programs and procedures
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in social or health sciences
  • Two years' work-related experience in supportive housing or a related field
  • Knowledge of the Social Service system and Community Resources
  • Working knowledge of the Social Determinants of Health
  • Demonstrated understanding of Harm Reduction best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Commitment to anti-racist/anti-oppressive practice and the mission and values of Good Shepherd
