Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and organized Trade Development Representative to join our Retail Team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in driving Trade sales and acquisitions, developing strong relationships with trade clients, and identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Vancouver Trade Representative in driving Trade sales and acquisitions
  • Develop a rapport with trade clients, actively listening to their needs and providing product knowledge to identify potential trade opportunities
  • Responsible for business development through outreach, networking, and making connections with new potential clients
  • Track and follow up on trade quotes/orders, maintain a database of trade members, and act as a point of communication to keep them engaged with the brand
  • Support the Store Manager, Trade Representative, and Trade Project Managers in executing specific trade initiatives

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of retail sales and/or experience in a Design/Trade environment
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to think and work proactively and strategically
  • Knowledge to scout local designers to add to Trade database
  • Able to convert prospects into clients
  • Proficient in operations and systems, including POS system and Microsoft office
  • Proficient in or the ability to learn Floorplanner and Canva
  • Working knowledge of the retail furniture industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
