Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pipeline Control Centre Operator to join our team at Suncor. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our pipeline systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control pipeline operations, including adjusting rates and pump selections as needed
  • Provide expert advice and feedback on operational constraints and opportunities
  • Exhibit excellent troubleshooting skills and sound decision-making abilities
  • Collaborate with shift crew, support staff, and external stakeholders to achieve operational goals
  • Respond to emergency conditions and alarms on the SCADA system to protect personnel, environment, and equipment
  • Review and provide input into operating procedure revisions and operational manual revisions
  • Generate SAP work request notifications for nuisance alarms or failed equipment
Requirements
  • Two years of field operations experience
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • A valid 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate or higher
  • Demonstrated adherence to all environmental health and safety practices, policies, standards, and regulations
  • A valid driver's licence and a clean driving record
