Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Business Development to join our team at Brambles. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development across Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to drive business growth and expansion into new markets and industries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Lead a team of Business Development Executives across Canada, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure their success.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Marketing, and Commercial, to identify new business opportunities and drive growth.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives, including volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Embed digital insights and capabilities to drive business growth and improve sales performance.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the industry, market trends, and customer needs to inform business decisions and drive growth.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of sales experience in a FMCG and retail, 3rd party logistics environment, with a focus on complex selling to Beer, Wine & Spirits, Dairy, and Pharma.
  • Proven track record of building and deploying a successful hunter sales organization.
  • Expertise in consultative sales, with a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics and sustainability principles.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce) and other sales productivity tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (French) language skills.
  • Experience with ESG, Sustainability, and SCOPE 3 in Canada.
  • Experience building strong organizational cultures with high-performing teams.
  • Experience in supply chain and operations.
