Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Management Specialist to join our team at Wesco International, Inc. This role will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute annual category business plans to achieve strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product assortment and merchandising strategies
  • Negotiate supplier contracts to improve operational and financial terms
  • Support marketing plan development and execution to drive business growth
  • Communicate key product messaging to internal and external stakeholders
  • Evaluate and compare products to identify alternatives and opportunities for growth
  • Manage new product introductions and supplier relationships
  • Conduct supplier negotiations to obtain best value and resolve performance issues
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or relevant field
  • Master's degree in business, sales, marketing, or relevant field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or product management
  • People management and/or product category management experience preferred
  • History of success maintaining and developing key relationships
