**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Management Leader - Safety to join our team at Wesco. This role will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies that drive business growth and profitability.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and execute annual category business plans to achieve sales and profitability goals
  • Lead the development of optimized product assortment and merchandising strategies to drive customer satisfaction and sales growth
  • Manage supplier relationships to improve operational and financial terms
  • Support marketing plan development and execution to drive brand awareness and sales growth
  • Effectively communicate key product messaging to internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct product evaluations and comparisons to identify alternative products
  • Identify, manage, and communicate new product introductions to drive sales growth
  • Conduct supplier negotiations to obtain best value for Wesco
  • Manage supplier performance and resolve issues to ensure continuity of supply

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a relevant field
  • Masters degree in business, sales, marketing, or a relevant field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, product management, or a related field
  • People management and/or product category management experience preferred
  • History of success maintaining and developing key relationships
  • Previous experience in the electrical distribution market preferred
