Position Overview:

The Ottawa Department of Medicine is in search of a Director for the National Cardiac PET Centre. This role is pivotal in overseeing a diverse team dedicated to enhancing clinical services, educational programs, and innovative research within the Cardiology sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals, including physicians, imaging specialists, nursing staff, and technologists.
  • Guarantee the delivery of superior imaging services for both patient treatment and research projects.
  • Foster research activities through the acquisition of peer-reviewed and industry-sponsored funding.
  • Implement research outcomes into established clinical practice protocols.

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification in Cardiology (FRCPC or equivalent).
  • Completion of Level 3 fellowship training in Nuclear Cardiology.
  • Eligibility to practice medicine within the province.
  • Proven history of conducting high-impact research.

Compensation and Benefits:
