Payroll and Time System Support Manager

The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Time System Support Manager to join our team. As a key member of our HR Systems team, you will be responsible for overseeing the support of our Dayforce payroll and time system across our Canada and US divisions.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing and providing support for payroll and time management application issues, troubleshooting any technical system problems
- Ensuring support and defect resolution processes and procedures are defined, in place, efficient and compliant with internal and external audit requirements
- Ongoing monitoring of tickets and SLAs, changing processes as required to ensure efficient delivery of services
- Assisting the Shared Service Centre and divisional HR users with inquiries, and problem-solving related to Dayforce
- Proactively identifying and recommending opportunities for operational excellence and process improvements to eliminate inefficiencies and better support business needs
- Ensuring day-to-day systems support is balanced with strategic enhancements and projects
- Assessing, managing, resolving and escalating (if necessary) risks and issues
- Managing software releases and updates and understanding/communicating the potential impact on current and future business needs
- Managing vendor relationships to ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and to address system issues and enhancements
- Effectively developing and managing a department budget
You will also be responsible for assisting with Dayforce related projects, including new implementations and upgrades. This will involve:
- Assisting with defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
You will ensure that payroll and time management applications comply with local, regional, and international regulations and best practices. This will involve:
- Ensuring the system is integrated effectively with other business systems
- Staying updated on changes in technology and regulations to guide system improvements
- Conducting regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Assisting with the evaluation and selection of new technologies and services
You will also be responsible for managing a team of payroll and time management support analysts, mentoring and managing their performance and training needs.
