About the Role

New Westminster Schools is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Information Technology to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our organization and ensuring that our technology infrastructure supports the needs of our students, staff, and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team of IT professionals in the planning, development, and implementation of technology solutions.
  • Manage the district's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize technology needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget and ensure that technology investments align with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends and make recommendations for their adoption and implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a leadership role in IT, preferably in a public sector or large complex organization.
  • Considerable experience and success with integrating new technologies and methodologies into a large organization.
