Position Overview

The Clinical Laboratory Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of tasks within the Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine departments. This role is essential in ensuring accurate laboratory results that contribute to patient care.

Qualifications

We seek individuals who are not only skilled in their profession but also embody our values of accountability, respect, and compassion. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario.
  • A minimum of 3 - 5 years of recent experience in a core laboratory setting.
  • Proficient knowledge in Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine.
  • Familiarity with routine automated laboratory equipment.
  • Flexibility to provide coverage at multiple sites as needed.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities and the ability to work independently during off hours.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role.
  • A satisfactory employment and attendance record.
Additional Information

Hours: Monday to Sunday; All shifts, including Days, Evenings, and Nights, with hours subject to change based on operational needs.

Salary: $46.32 per hour.
