About the Role

Aerotex Interiors Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Chief Buyer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, ensuring adequate stock levels, and negotiating prices and credit terms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Sourcing
    • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
    • Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers to optimize purchasing decisions.
  • Inventory Management
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize stockouts.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and mentor junior buyers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field, such as business or supply chain management.
  • Experience
    • At least 1 year of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
