Operations Supervisor Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at Shorelines Casino Belleville. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for assisting with the planning and directing of site operations, as well as providing leadership and guidance to designated departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the creation of an engaged work environment by promoting positivity and recognizing excellent performance.
  • Oversee the Cage, Slots, and Guest Services department during your shift, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and performance management to team members, while promoting continuous coaching for success.
  • Assist in the implementation of departmental strategic plans and contribute to the development of strong working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze team member productivity, work skills, and behaviors, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with operational departments, ensuring seamless collaboration and coordination.
  • Report irregularities and suspicious activities, reviewing and preparing incident reports as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with policy, procedure, legislation, health and safety, and other statutory regulations and programs.
  • Anticipate operational and service issues, trouble-shooting and resolving guest concerns before they escalate.
  • Administer the Collective Agreement and facilitate grievance discussions, as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in gaming/casino management.
  • Experience working in various departments within gaming is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in Business or Operations Management, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to train and develop team members.
  • Ability to exceed internal and external guest expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication.
  • A willingness to learn, develop, and achieve new skills for personal and professional development.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with AGCO.
  • Ability to obtain Smart Serve certification.
