The Maintenance Manager will report directly to the Plant Director. This role is characterized by a dynamic individual who possesses exceptional organizational skills and motivation. The ideal candidate is an experienced planner adept at managing multiple complex projects concurrently while ensuring that objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee team operations and maintenance department resources to guarantee that all plant equipment is maintained and repaired with minimal downtime.
  • Engage actively in ESS projects and continuous improvements on a regular basis.
  • Serve as project manager during the installation of new machinery and significant projects, developing performance specifications and overseeing submission processes.
  • Take charge of the budget and control departmental expenses, demonstrating foresight in predicting future maintenance requirements to mitigate budgetary impacts.
  • Ensure the maintenance of the facility complies with current regulations and represent the company for environmental considerations.
  • Assist the engineering department with major production challenges and participate in lean continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Enhance machine performance in line with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Develop, distribute, and manage schedules for preventive maintenance of machinery, collaborating with production to prioritize tasks, including summer shutdowns.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a maintenance role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in leading teams and processes.
  • Demonstrated success utilizing Lean or Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
