The Maintenance Manager reports directly to the Plant Director. This role is characterized by an energetic individual with exceptional organizational skills and strong motivation. The ideal candidate is an experienced planner capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously while ensuring successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee team operations and maintenance department resources to guarantee that all plant equipment is serviced and repaired with minimal downtime.
  • Engage actively in ESS projects and continuous improvements on a regular basis.
  • Serve as project manager during the installation of new machinery and significant projects, developing performance specifications and overseeing submission processes.
  • Take charge of the budget and management of departmental expenses, demonstrating foresight in predicting future maintenance requirements to mitigate budgetary impacts.
  • Ensure compliance with current laws regarding building maintenance and represent the company for environmental initiatives.
  • Assist the engineering department in addressing major production challenges and participate in lean continuous improvement efforts.
  • Enhance machine performance by integrating new technologies and adhering to industry best practices.
  • Develop, distribute, and manage schedules for preventive maintenance of machinery, collaborating with production to establish priorities, including summer shutdowns.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a maintenance role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in leading teams and processes.
  • Demonstrated success in utilizing Lean or Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
