About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Wilok Inc. as a key member of our facilities maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our properties, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, as well as operating industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and waste.
    • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
    • Perform minor repairs on appliances and equipment.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, as well as wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
    • Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
  • Physical Demands
    • Work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and performing repetitive tasks.
    • Be able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and more, as required.
  • Security and Safety
    • Perform safety and security checks, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
    • Hold a valid criminal record check.
  • Equipment and Tools
    • Operate power tools, power lawn mowers, small tractors, and snowblowers, as required.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Work with minimal supervision, and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience
    • Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Building operator/superintendent certificate required.
  • Language
    • Fluency in French required.
  • Work Conditions
    • Work 37.5 hours per week, with occasional overtime required.
