Position Overview:
Select People Solutions is collaborating with a local municipality to identify a qualified individual for the role of Family and Community Support Services Coordinator. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in community engagement and a comprehensive understanding of the resources necessary to address community needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing, implementing, and managing preventative social service initiatives tailored to the unique requirements of local residents.
  • Overseeing daily operations of the Family and Community Support Services, including staff and volunteer supervision.
  • Crafting and managing grant proposals to secure funding for community programs.
  • Representing the Family and Community Support Services program at various community events and meetings.
  • Providing direct support to community members, ensuring accessibility and awareness of available programs and services.
  • Developing and executing preventative social programs based on community feedback and emerging trends.
  • Encouraging community participation in social events and initiatives.
  • Monitoring program compliance, budgets, and funding allocations.
  • Reporting on program outcomes and financials to ensure alignment with established targets.

Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in community outreach or social program development.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in managing teams, volunteers, and programs.
  • Experience in grant writing and management, with strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in budget management, including monitoring and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to provide a clean Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Services.
