About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Community Engagement Manager to join our team at Enbridge Inc. in the BC Region. As a key member of our Community and Indigenous Engagement team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our regional engagement plan, building and maintaining relationships with Indigenous Nations and communities, and providing strategic advice to our business leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the BC Region Regional Engagement Plan (REP) and Lifecycle Relationship Agreements
  • Build and maintain relationships with Indigenous Nations and communities, including regulatory engagement, economic inclusion, advocacy, and coalition building
  • Provide strategic advice to business leaders on Indigenous and community engagement, cultural awareness, consultation, relationships, and partnership opportunities
  • Support the development of regulatory strategy and participate in formal regulatory processes in support of projects
  • Manage and coach the BC Regional Engagement team, made up of engagement advisors, coordinators, and contractors
Requirements
  • University degree from a related post-secondary program and/or combination of education and work experience
  • 10 or more years of directly related work experience in Indigenous or partner engagement, preferably in the resources sector, particularly in the energy industry/energy transportation infrastructure sector
  • Experience in leading and mentoring a team of engagement professionals
  • Familiarity with applicable government and regulatory requirements, as well as present-day issues and community dynamics
