Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist

As a key member of the Finance team, you will play a crucial role in managing billing processes and accounts receivable for our diverse projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with Project Managers and Sector Leads on contract documents, change orders, and other billing-related modifications.
- Set up and maintain project budgets and backlogs in Deltek throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare comprehensive final invoice packages, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
- Mail final invoices and organize billing folders with all relevant documents, including contracts and monthly invoices.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to maximize client billing, while researching unbilled issues to enhance billing efficiency.
- Maintain organized billing folders for all projects, adhering to established processes and procedures.
- Investigate project variances and submit detailed variance reports to management.
- Generate Progress Project Reports as required.
- Advise accounts payable team members on client billing matters, including consultant invoicing and reimbursable expenses.
- Collaborate with accounts receivable team members regarding outstanding project billings.
- Close out projects upon completion and prepare special project analyses for Sector Leads and Billing Management.
- Compile necessary information for internal and external audits.
- Undertake additional assignments as directed by the Billing Manager.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with local offices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Accounting (AP/AR/Billing).
- Enrollment in a CPA program is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various computer applications.
- Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented office environment.
- Familiarity with Deltek Vision software is a definite advantage.
