Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Draftsperson to join our production facility in Kanata, Ontario. As a Draftsperson, you will be responsible for producing accurate and complete drawings of assigned projects, ensuring the technical quality and accuracy of your work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed drawings and documentation for production projects
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and resolving any issues or delays
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge and skills to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
  • Participate in project planning and progress meetings to ensure alignment with company objectives

Requirements:

  • Technologist Diploma (3 years) in mechanical, electrical, or other relevant technology
  • Proven experience in computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
