Job Summary

Element5 is seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to join our dynamic team in a manufacturing environment. This critical role focuses on managing and analyzing cost information to enhance business efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Accounting Systems: Implement and maintain cost accounting systems for manufacturing, analyzing production costs and reconciling accounts.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with production and engineering teams to manage costs and improve financial outcomes.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs, explaining variances.
  • Cost-Effective Solutions: Develop and recommend cost-effective solutions through detailed cost-benefit analyses.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Financial Audits: Support financial audits and monthly revenue recognition, maintaining Capital in Progress (CIP) accounts.
Qualifications:
  • Education: University degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in cost accounting or a related field within a manufacturing environment.
  • CPA Designation: CPA designation, or actively working towards obtaining a CPA.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills and precision in handling financial data. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Industry Knowledge: Interest in sustainability and innovation within the construction industry.
