Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at WasteHaul Transport Inc. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Prepare and reconcile accounts, including journal entries and trial balances.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns in a timely manner.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, including statistical and accounting reports.
  • Asset Management: Calculate and record depreciation of fixed assets.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, accuracy, dependability, and efficient interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
  • Work Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
