Position Overview
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering Outstanding Service
Ensure top-tier service through effective sales and merchandising strategies that enhance productivity, Conduct product knowledge sessions and sales training, maintain optimal product display functionality, Manage merchandising, ordering, and inventory processes (including stock management, inventory audits, and timely returns) while implementing marketing and promotional initiatives tailored to each customer segment. Sales Strategy, Execution, and Reporting Develop a comprehensive Area Business Plan aligned with corporate objectives and targets Expand the business by increasing product listings and securing shelf space for both new and existing offerings at various retail locations Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and sales personnel Collaborate with internal teams (order processing, credits, technical support, marketing insights, and logistics) Report on achievements, challenges, opportunities, and relevant issues to management promptlyAdditional Responsibilities
Engage in special projects such as new store openings, overnight resets, trade shows, and weekend events as needed Assist in the creation and implementation of product line and customer-specific merchandising plans Support the development and prototyping of merchandising displays (such as bath hardware organizers) and point-of-purchase materials for in-store use (including end-caps and cross-merchandising displays) Generate standard and ad-hoc reports as required Perform physical tasks (such as handling heavy merchandise and using ladders for stock retrieval) Comply with all safety regulations and procedures Additional store accounts may be assigned as necessary Manage an expense budget and ensure company assets are maintained in optimal conditionRequired Qualifications
Post-secondary education in business, sales, or marketing is preferred or equivalent experience Valid driver's license from the province of employment 2-5 years of experience in merchandising or sales Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Self-motivated individual with strong time management capabilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities Team-oriented with a proactive, positive demeanor and strong interpersonal skills Proven history of exceptional customer service and sales success Ability to work independently while demonstrating integrity and honesty Capability to formulate and adhere to a sales strategy for the area Retail experience or coursework in merchandising is advantageous Experience in building in-store displays using hand and power tools is a plus Willingness to travel overnight and work flexible hours as needed Openness to relocation as account/store responsibilities evolveAdditional Information
