About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at 963822 Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweeping and Cleaning: Regularly sweep, mop, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent litter and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Window and Surface Cleaning: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and well-maintained appearance.
  • Minor Repairs: Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Appliance Maintenance: Perform minor repairs on appliances to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair to maintain the overall appearance of the building.
  • Lawn and Garden Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to maintain a well-manicured appearance.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, and be able to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, organized, and reliability are essential qualities for this role.
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
