The Role:
The Healthcare Support Specialist position is well-suited for recent graduates, final-year students available for 3-5 full-day shifts weekly, or individuals taking a gap year to gain practical experience. While prior medical experience is not mandatory, we seek candidates with a solid background in customer service—whether from retail, hospitality, or other dynamic environments—who are eager to explore a career in healthcare.Compensation: Starting rate of $16.55 per hour, with potential for additional earnings and career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurate patient registration and administrative tasks (e.g., reception, scheduling, payment collection).
  • Effective clinical preparation of patients (e.g., welcoming patients into exam rooms and conducting triage).
  • Application of clinical skills and protocols.
  • Utilization of our Electronic Medical Record system (EMR Advantage).
  • Maintaining inventory levels through daily stocking of exam rooms and clinic areas.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment.
  • Adhering to proper opening and closing procedures of the clinic.
  • Management of records and documentation, along with other assigned administrative duties.
  • Opportunity to receive training in specialty programs (e.g., Travel Medicine, Allergy Testing, Foot Care, and Well-Baby) after a successful 3-month probationary period.
  • Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • Must reside in Ontario (this is an onsite position).
  • Must be permanently eligible to work in Canada (i.e., Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen) or possess a valid Work Permit for at least 12 months (no sponsorships available).
  • This role requires active engagement and mobility throughout the clinic.
  • 1-2 years of post-secondary education in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
  • An undergraduate or bachelor's degree in health science, Kinesiology, General Science, or Arts is advantageous.
  • Six months to one year of experience in a customer service setting (e.g., retail or hospitality).
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken, written, reading, and comprehension); proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Must be dependable, adaptable, and available to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Willingness to work at multiple clinic locations within the region.
  • Enthusiasm for personal development and ongoing training.
