Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Brokerunion Insurance Inc. as a key member of our accounting department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, including deductions and benefits.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including statistical and accounting reports.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, including GST/HST and other tax-related documents.
Requirements
  • Education: College diploma or equivalent in accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Language: English (fluency required).
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work overtime as needed.
