About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Quality Inn Bracebridge. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our motel and hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Industrial Equipment: Safely operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and other refuse from our facilities.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact licensed tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, handling heavy loads and performing physically demanding tasks.
  • Communication: Excellent oral communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Experience: Will train, but previous experience in a similar role is an asset.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 35 to 40 hours per week.
