Job Summary

Dalhousie University, a member of the U-15 group of top 15 research-intensive universities in Canada, is seeking a Project Manager to support the development and advancement of novel tech-based innovations within the university and academic institutions in the Atlantic region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging (EDIAB) within the Dal Innovates community and programming.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop an engagement plan to identify and meet the needs of equity-deserving communities and marginalized individuals through the resources of Dal Innovates.
  2. Develop an engagement strategy and plan to further engage key internal stakeholders, including researchers, entrepreneurs, alumni, mentors, and Dalhousie staff.
  3. Lead all program recruitment activities and recommend overall execution, including advising on timing, stakeholders, and promotional opportunities.
  4. Lead all EDIA projects, develop a strategy for community engagement activities, and ensure the inclusion of organizations that support equity-deserving groups within all Dal Innovates' activities.
  5. Recommend data collection approaches and best practices, working closely with all program managers to ensure key metrics are collected and tracked.
  6. Establish Dal Innovates' reporting timeline and plan, as well as communicate what data is required.
