This role can be based in any of our corporate offices across North America, reporting to the NA Sustainability Director.

The Sustainability Analyst will play a crucial role in advancing McCain's sustainability objectives by supporting strategic initiatives, particularly focusing on the Thriving Community pillar. If you are dedicated to reducing food waste, promoting community engagement, and empowering our Sustainability ambassadors; if you possess a data-driven mindset and can effectively manage projects with precision; if you have the passion and empathy to inspire others, this position may be ideal for you.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Project Management [approx. 75% of the time]: You will utilize your strong project management capabilities to handle multiple initiatives and ensure high-quality results, even under tight deadlines.

  • Collaborate with local teams to fulfill commitments aligned with McCain's Thriving Community pillar concerning food waste, community service, and development projects.
  • Coordinate the annual Sustainability Ambassador Summit, crafting an engaging agenda and managing travel and logistics for participants.
  • Lead the establishment of a flagship community development initiative in North America, overseeing suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist cross-functional teams in their efforts to innovate and implement projects that align with sustainability goals.

Reporting [approx. 10% of the time]: You will customize presentations for various audiences, showcasing strong skills in both content and design.

  • Support North American sustainability governance by aggregating data from sustainability leads to ensure objectives are met across the organization.
  • Collaborate with the global sustainability team to standardize reporting processes for the Thriving Community initiatives.
  • In addition to existing data management systems, you may be tasked with developing new tools or enhancing current solutions.

Operational Support for CSR [approx. 15% of the time]: You will communicate the strategic vision for sustainability and present the business case to motivate local teams and leadership.

  • Assist in the communication strategy by partnering with internal and external teams to create impactful outreach and highlight sustainability achievements.
  • Effectively present key sustainability data in a compelling manner tailored to different audiences, utilizing strong PowerPoint skills.
  • Play an active role in developing training resources for the commercial team on various aspects of sustainability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A genuine passion for sustainability, with a comprehensive understanding of climate-related issues.
  • A Master's degree in Engineering or Business, preferably with a focus on Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in sustainability, demonstrating a blend of technical and practical expertise.
  • Proven track record in implementing sustainability solutions across diverse topics.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a knack for showcasing sustainability successes internally and externally.
  • Analytical mindset: concise and data-oriented.
  • Strong business acumen, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
