Senior Sustainability Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sustainability Data Analyst to join our team at Dream Unlimited Corp. As a key member of our Portfolio Management Team, you will play a lead role in driving our impact, sustainability, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze sustainability data from various sources.
- Develop and maintain large datasets, ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity.
- Consolidate data and create reports to meet internal and external sustainability reporting requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve data collection and management processes, including dashboard development using Power BI.
- Analyze building sustainability performance metrics, including energy, water, GHG, waste, and recycling.
- Act as a liaison with third-party data managers to optimize data collection and reporting.
- Support annual data assurance processes with external auditors.
- Submit data to regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with directives in Canada and Europe.
- Research and analyze sustainability initiatives, including low-carbon transition, innovative energy solutions, and renewable energy.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to drive sustainability objectives and priorities.
- Provide advisory services on emerging sustainability issues and opportunities.
- Contribute to the annual Sustainability Report and other publicly issued reports.
- Lead environmental scans of emerging climate change, environmental, social, and governance issues.
- Contribute to GRESB submissions and analysis, aiming to improve scores.
- Support building certification initiatives, such as LEED and BREEAM.
- Lead net zero reporting, including CRREM analysis, to support Dream's Net Zero by 2035 Action Plan.
- 3-5 years of experience in Environmental, Sustainability, ESG, or Impact sectors.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management, including Power BI.
- Programming, SQL, or database management experience is an asset.
- Commercial real estate/property management industry experience is preferred.
- Basic understanding of emissions reporting, GRI, TCFD, and SASB is an asset.
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities to meet deadlines.
- Strong quantitative/analytical skills, including data analysis and trend identification.
- Global experience is an asset.
- Experience in financial analysis is an asset.
- Strategic thinker and agile problem solver.
