Job Summary

OSG Renovation is seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality flooring installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Measurement
    • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
    • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
    • Measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors
    • Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings
    • Prepare and install hardwood floors
  • Repair and Maintenance
    • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
    • Prepare floors for installations
    • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Specialized Installation
    • Perform direct glue-down carpet installations
    • Perform double-bond carpet installations
  • Installation Specialization
    • Hardwood strip flooring
    • Parquet flooring
    • Carpets/rugs
    Work Environment

As a Floor Covering Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with varying locations. You will be required to work in a physically demanding role, handling heavy loads and working in dusty conditions.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade
