Key Responsibilities- Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
- Material Handling: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding, as well as prepare flooring plans and scheduling.
- Installation: Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings, prepare and install hardwood floors, and inspect and repair damaged floor coverings.
- Testing and Quality Control: Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations, ensuring the highest quality standards.
- Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials, prepare floors for installations, and remove existing floor coverings and contaminants.
- Specialized Installations: Install resilient stair components, materials on counter tops and raised platforms, and vinyl decking materials.
- Documentation and Communication: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, and maintain effective communication with clients and team members.
- Client Focus: Demonstrate a strong commitment to client satisfaction, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
- Interpersonal Skills: Possess efficient and effective interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
- Judgement and Organization: Exercise sound judgement and organizational skills, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
