Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at RO Transport Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Logistics: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping and handling of dangerous goods.
  • Communication: Utilize citizens band (CB) radio and GPS navigation equipment to communicate with dispatch and other drivers.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, and Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in the field, with a strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with regular overtime required.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, judgment, and a strong team player mentality.
