Key Responsibilities- Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
- Route Planning: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, providing excellent oral and written communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, performing preventive maintenance and emergency roadside repairs as needed.
- Documentation: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
- Teamwork: Work as part of a two-person team or convoy, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Certifications: Possess a valid AZ class license and a Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
- Experience: Have previous experience in the field of employment, with a minimum of 1 to less than 7 months of experience.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
- Physical Demands: Be physically fit and able to handle heavy loads, work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing situations.
