About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Amal Toronto. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including main courses, desserts, and snacks
  • Order and manage inventory of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation and presentation
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads
