Job Summary:

As a key member of the Busology Tech leadership team, the Director of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth and revenue expansion. Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Team Management: Coach and lead the sales and marketing team to achieve targets and exceed sales quotas.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Achieve/exceed sales targets and net revenue quota by prospecting new customers and selling Busology Tech's solutions.
  • Marketing Strategy and Execution: Collaborate with the team to develop and implement marketing strategies that align with the company's goals, grow the sales funnel, and deliver high-quality prospects to sales representatives.
  • Account Planning and Management: Collaborate with sales representatives to develop an overall account plan to maximize opportunities and generate business with customers.
  • Negotiation and Objection Handling: Coach team members on negotiations, coordinate complex decision-making processes, and overcome objections to capture new business opportunities.
  • Event and Campaign Management: Oversee all marketing-related events, trade shows, and campaigns to increase brand and solution awareness.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Analyze market trends, coordinate market and competitor research, and amplify the 'voice of the customer' internally within Busology Tech.
  • Forecasting and Reporting: Submit accurate and timely forecasts that are aligned with assigned sales quotas.
  • Client Communication and Presentation: Effectively communicate and present Busology Tech's solutions and overall value proposition to all levels of client organizations.
  • Business Acumen and Problem-Solving: Demonstrate a solid understanding of Busology Tech's value proposition and articulate how its solutions can help solve customer business problems.
  • Internal Relationships and Collaboration: Build peer support and strong internal relationships with other senior leadership members.
  • Proposal Development: Responsible for proposal development for RFPs.
  • Client Services and Product Management: Work collaboratively with the Client Services, Product Management, and Development teams to ensure that client needs are met and reflected in contracts and SOW.
  • Pricing Strategy: Work with the General Manager and peers on the leadership team to develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize profits.
Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Degree or diploma in business administration, business management, or related field.
  • Sales and Marketing Experience: 5-7 years of direct professional sales experience with successful software sales.
  • Leadership and Management Experience: 5+ years of sales and/or marketing management experience.
  • Results-Oriented and Metric-Driven: Highly motivated, metric-driven, and results-oriented.
  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong presentation, staff coaching, communication, organization, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Sales Orientation: Sales-oriented personality.
  • Financial Acumen: Solid financial acumen to determine the value of deals brought forward.

  • Travel and Flexibility: Ability to work in a fast-paced sales and marketing team environment with minimum supervision and travel up to 50% time in North America, occasionally on short notice.
