Digital Science and Art Educator

OCAD University is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Sessional Instructor: Atelier I: Discovery, Faculty of Arts & Science.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and teaching-related responsibilities, including course outline development, studio preparation and delivery, grading, mid-term evaluations, and final evaluations/reviews. The instructor will also be responsible for health and safety and meeting academic and curricular requirements and deadlines.
Responsibilities- Teach and deliver course content, including lectures, critiques, and grading
- Develop and implement course outlines and assessments
- Prepare and deliver studio sessions, including site visits and engagement with industry partners
- Conduct mid-term and final evaluations and reviews
- Ensure health and safety protocols are followed
- Meet academic and curricular requirements and deadlines
- Terminal degree in art, design, or relevant discipline
- Experience teaching at the post-secondary level
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and experience promoting a respectful and inclusive work and learning environment
Sessional appointments are fixed-term annual contracts. Sessional compensation includes a per-course pay scale with salary level of $6,871.00 (per 0.5 credit course) plus 7% in lieu of benefits and vacation pay, per the provisions of the Employment Standards Act.
