We are seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our team at Sunhouse Cafe. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including complete meals and individual items, to meet the needs of our customers.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
- Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Clean and maintain kitchen and work areas to the highest standards.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills.
This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week. The language of work is English.
