About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Paddy's Oneil's. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Dishwashing and Food Preparation: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and assist with food preparation, including portioning and wrapping foods.
  • Inventory Management: Keep records of the quantities of food used and receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Food Handling and Safety: Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, and maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sharpen kitchen knives as needed.
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to a high standard.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Physical Demands: 32.5 hours per week, with a permanent work term and English language requirements.
