Position Available:

Community Residential Support Workers (Part-time)

Location: Dartmouth, NS

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, reporting to a House Supervisor, you will provide essential support to adults with intellectual disabilities in their daily activities. Your responsibilities will encompass various areas including community engagement, recreational activities, household management, life skills development, personal care, and medication management. This position demands a proactive approach, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative spirit. At RRSS, we value creativity and a personalized approach to meet the unique needs and aspirations of those you support.

The successful candidate will be dynamic, innovative, and enthusiastic about inclusive community living. You should possess a solid understanding of person-centered planning principles and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills. Your motivation to be part of a quality team and your ability to devise creative solutions to evolving challenges will be key to your success.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade XII; preference will be given to candidates with post-secondary education or relevant experience in the Human Services field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all organizational levels, and to liaise with families, professionals, and other agencies.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Positive team-oriented attitude.
  • Alignment of personal values and skills with the support needs of individuals.

Compensation:

The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $22.56, along with shift differentials where applicable. Additional benefits include Health and Dental coverage, Life Insurance, Long-Term Disability, Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance, and a Group RRSP plan.

Additional Information:

This role requires a flexible schedule based on a 4-week rotational system, which includes evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.
