Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Generalist to support our People Team in Vancouver. This 14-month maternity leave coverage role will report to the Director, People Team and focus on strategic HR programs, policies, and talent development to drive business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide human resources guidance and partnership to Vancouver R&D leaders
  • Support general HR needs for the Vancouver site
  • Offer remote support to the Toronto and Montreal AI sites as needed
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for employee-related inquiries and escalate critical matters
  • Contribute to ongoing culture and engagement within the site
  • Support Canadian immigration policies, PR support documentation, and Work Permit applications
  • Provide input for learning and development enhancements for the Vancouver site
  • Work closely with the People Team Director to create and implement program initiatives
  • Support the People Team in projects, processes, and programs
  • Manage special projects as assigned in various areas
  • Support internal and external events

Requirements

  • 5 years of progressive experience in human resources, with at least 3 years as an HR Business Partner or Generalist supporting technical teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management
  • CPHR designation is an asset
  • Experience in Learning & Development is an asset
  • Strong communication, leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
