Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Chief Estimator of our BC Buildings Group, the Intermediate Estimator will take charge of complex project pursuits, defining project scopes, accurately quantifying costs, and managing timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive estimate quantification and costing for general conditions, labor, and equipment, including productivity assessments, material costs, and subcontractor estimates.
- Lead or actively participate in the bid closing process for projects.
- Develop detailed scopes of work for subcontractors to assist in budgeting for medium-sized projects.
- Select and invite financially stable trade partners with sufficient manpower and expertise to tender for the work.
- Establish and nurture relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders that embody and promote Graham's core values.
Qualifications:
- A diploma or degree in a relevant post-secondary field.
- A minimum of 4 years of combined field and estimating experience; experience in design-build projects and familiarity with various procurement methods is advantageous.
- Specific expertise in estimating construction projects related to buildings.
- Proficiency in using the Graham software suite, MS Excel, scheduling software (preferably Primavera), quantification software (such as OnScreen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Agtek), and BIM modeling is beneficial.
- Ability to cultivate and strengthen relationships with clients, trades, and team members.
Compensation:
- Annual salary range: $100,400 - $138,100
- Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
