Position Overview

Director, Product Management - Commercialization

Role Summary
Fraud and chargebacks create significant disruptions within the payments landscape, compelling both card issuers and merchants to prioritize dispute resolution over enhancing card acceptance and revenue growth. Ethoca Consumer Clarity ('Clarity') transforms this conversation, fostering a dynamic interaction between issuers and merchants to engage cardholders after transactions, alleviating frustration and encouraging repeat spending.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and oversees the implementation of Product Marketing strategies, including the management of all related materials and content, to enhance adoption and usage; may involve creating a global framework to influence regional tactics.
  • Crafts and proposes product value propositions that are consumer-focused, clear, and competitively positioned.
  • Leads the development of a cohesive brand identity and product narrative for the entire Ethoca product portfolio.
  • Identifies product bundling opportunities and collaborates with finance and pricing teams to establish competitive pricing structures.
  • Coordinates event opportunities for Ethoca.
  • Translates overarching strategic direction into specific requirements for effective and scalable sales materials and product packaging.
  • Identifies key product, segmentation, and positioning opportunities through data and insights.
  • Recommends a consumer/customer testing strategy for concepts and product prototypes.
  • Facilitates the integration of product initiatives with marketing platforms and vice versa.
  • Oversees the creation of sales enablement materials in collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Manages a team, ensuring adherence to goal-setting and performance evaluation processes, while identifying and mentoring top talent within the team.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in developing and implementing formal or informal training programs to enhance staff performance and knowledge within sales teams.
  • Proven track record of leading complex cross-functional projects on a local scale.
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships and achieving results with global, multicultural, and remote project teams.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with external stakeholders at the local level.
  • Preferred: Expertise in a specific industry vertical gained from prior experience or developed during tenure at Mastercard.
  • Preferred: Understanding of global markets from cultural, regulatory, and infrastructural perspectives.
  • Preferred: Experience in event planning and participation in customer-facing product commercialization or marketing roles.
  • Proven success in identifying insights for product marketing campaigns and leading teams to execute them effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop product bundles and packaging for both new and existing offerings.
  • Experience in successfully integrating marketing assets with products and product platforms.
  • Experience in identifying research needs for quantitative studies, effectively representing the voice of the customer.
  • Experience in supervising, coaching, and motivating marketing teams.
