Role Overview:

The Dining Server is responsible for providing meal service and supporting catering events, ensuring an outstanding dining experience for both residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve meals, ensuring resident satisfaction with the dining experience.
  • Take orders, set and clear tables, and serve food and beverages following established guidelines and regulations.
  • Manage supplies by unpacking and storing them, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Wash and organize dishes, cutlery, and kitchen equipment used in food preparation and service.
  • Operate and maintain food service equipment and keep the dining area tidy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory.
  • Current Safe Food Handler's Certification is required.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • Empathy and understanding of seniors' needs are crucial.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure.
  • High standards of hygiene and cleanliness are expected.
  • Experience in kitchen operations is an asset.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds is preferred.
  • All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and may be required to undergo a Criminal Record Search.
