Position Overview:

As a vital member of our community, the Dining Server plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our residents and guests. This part-time position focuses on serving meals and supporting catering events, ensuring satisfaction with every service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve meals, ensuring residents' satisfaction with the dining experience.
  • Take meal orders, set and clear tables, and serve food and beverages in accordance with established standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas, adhering to safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Wash and sort dishes, cutlery, and kitchen equipment used in food preparation and service.
  • Operate and clean food service equipment, ensuring a well-maintained dining environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the dining operations.

Qualifications:

  • Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory.
  • Current Safe Food Handler's Certification is required.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • Demonstrated empathy and understanding of seniors' needs.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and organize tasks under pressure.
  • High standards of hygiene and cleanliness are expected.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment is advantageous.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is considered an asset.
  • All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, and a Criminal Record Search may be required.
