Job Title: Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Sokil Transportation Group.

Job Summary:

The Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, trailers, and other machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanics, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including engine problems and electrical system malfunctions.
  • Inspect and test equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Order parts and maintain inventory of necessary supplies.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to complete projects and meet deadlines.
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience as a heavy-duty equipment mechanic.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Commercial Vehicle Inspection Certificate.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
